The questions we get before starting
Straight answers, no fine print. If yours isn't here, write to us and we'll answer just as clearly.
What exactly does Drinux do?
We are a technology consulting firm with 16 years of experience. We design, build and operate custom software: management systems, mobile apps, virtual classrooms, data and AI solutions, websites, payment integrations and cloud infrastructure. We work with ministries, NGOs, universities and private companies across Peru, Spain and the US.
How do you work?
In four steps: understanding (we talk to the people who live the problem and document the real workflow), architecture (we design the simplest solution that solves it and validate it with you), construction (we deliver in short increments you can see and use) and ongoing support (we operate with you after launch). You end up with a working system, not just an invoice.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on scope, and we'd rather not make up generic figures. As a reference: a campaign landing page is the smallest project; an institutional website is a matter of weeks; a custom system is an investment of months. After a 30-minute call we'll send a proposal with a concrete range and what it includes — no commitment. We work fixed-scope, with dedicated teams, or on monthly support agreements.
How long does a typical project take?
A campaign landing page can be live in days. An institutional website takes 4 to 8 weeks. A custom system usually takes 3 to 6 months, but we deliver usable modules from the first weeks: you don't wait until the end to see results.
Who owns the code and the data?
You do. The source code, repositories, documentation and data belong to your organization from day one. If tomorrow you decide to work with another provider, you take everything with you. We don't believe in forced dependency as a business model.
Do you provide support after delivery?
Yes — it's central to how we work. We offer ongoing support plans with committed service hours: incidents, security patches, monitoring and monthly improvements. Most of our clients have been with us for years precisely because of this.
Do you work with clients outside Peru?
Yes, with no borders: we work remotely wherever you need us. We coordinate in Spanish and English, issue international invoices and can operate white-label for other agencies. Our time zones let us cover wide working hours.
Can you work alongside my internal IT team?
Of course — it's often the best setup. We integrate with your team: they know your organization, we bring the missing specialties (mobile, AI, cloud, integrations). We document and transfer knowledge so your team can operate what we build.
Can you maintain or rescue a system built by another provider?
Yes, we do it often. We start with an honest technical assessment: what's fine, what's risky, and what's worth rewriting or keeping. Sometimes the answer is "this system can be saved" and sometimes it isn't — we'll tell you clearly before you invest.
What technologies do you use?
The ones the problem needs, not the trendy ones. We work with modern, widely supported stacks (web, native and cross-platform mobile, public clouds, relational and document databases) and avoid technologies that lock you into a single vendor. Every proposal justifies the technical choice.
How do you decide whether AI applies to my case?
With a simple criterion: AI must remove measurable time or errors from a concrete process. If your problem is better solved with good automation or a well-designed system, we'll say so — it's cheaper and works better. When AI does apply, we start with a short pilot on your real data before committing to a larger investment.
How do you handle confidentiality and data security?
We sign NDAs from the first conversation if you need it. Our projects apply security best practices (access control, encryption, audit trails, backups) and comply with the data protection regulations that apply to your sector and country. We work with health and human-rights organizations where this is non-negotiable.
Do you issue invoices?
Yes. In Peru we issue electronic invoices; for international clients we issue standard international invoices. We can adapt to the procurement processes of public bodies, international cooperation agencies and companies with formal purchasing departments.
How do we start?
Write to us through the contact form or WhatsApp. We'll schedule a 30-minute call where you tell us the problem — no jargon, no commitment. We'll come back with a clear proposal: what we'd do, how long it would take and the investment range. If we're not the right fit, we'll point you to someone who is.
